BSN Admission Requirements

BSN资格 

BSN applicants must meet the BSN eligibility requirements to be considered. 学生 brand new to nursing may apply.

REMINDER: There is a two-step application process to be admitted to the BSN program. 申请人 must also meet CSU admission requirements (if not already at 菠菜网lol正规平台).

• Earned units must reach upper division status 
  • 学生 must complete lower division coursework before the time they intend to start the BSN major coursework.
• U.S. 公民,你.S. permanent resident (green 卡s accepted)

• DACA and non-DACA undocumented students

  • DACA and non-DACA undocumented students must include DACA/AB540表格 with the NursingCAS application.

• International students without a green 卡: not eligible

  • Due to impaction, the program does not admit international students without a green 卡.

• Second Bachelor's Degree (post-baccalaureates)  applicants: may apply to spring terms

  • Second bachelor students must:

    - complete the BSN admission requirements

    - and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last sixty (60) units taken

    Due to impaction, second bachelors can only apply to spring terms and are limited to 10% of the available spots (6 out of 60). 

• Transfer students may apply to fall terms

  • Due to impaction, transfer students can only apply to fall terms. 

• Military members have priority selection

  • Beginning January 1, 2017, U.S. military veterans may receive priority selection for the nursing program [pdf] [pdf]. This includes those who have completed active duty, have an honorable discharge (DD214), and meet the minimum program and university requirements.

    Three (3) spaces will be held per application cycle. After these three (3) spaces are filled, other applicants with prior military service will be considered / ranked in the regular selection process.

  • To be eligible for fall admission, students must complete BSN admission requirements by the end of the prior fall term.

    To be eligible for spring admission, students must complete BSN admission requirements by the end of the prior spring term.

• After Conditional Acceptance: Screenings

  • For all students: after Conditional Acceptance, Final Acceptance into the nursing program is dependent on both background and drug screening clearance.

• 申请人 must achieve a 'C' grade 或更好的 in all BSN prerequisite courses. 
• The combined GPA of the 8 BSN prerequisite courses must meet the minimum GPA of 3.3 或更好的.
• BSN prerequisites cannot be in progress when completing the BSN NursingCAS application.

tea考试信息

• Starting in Fall 2024, 茶 exams 必须 taken within five years of application.
• 申请人 must complete the 茶 exam and achieve a minimum score of 84%.
